  • Do I have general liability without sublimits for damage to a client’s property?

  • Do I have a commercial crime bond with a 3rd party theft endorsement, Which includes fraud in the definition of theft, and without a conviction requirement 

 

A quick word about retro-active dates:

You will have a retro-active date on your liability policy, corresponding to the first date you took coverage. It is important to 1) know you have a retro-active date and 2) keep that retro-active date on all future liability policies.

You also need Workers Compensation – It is mandatory in 49 states and DC. 

Get your class codes right! 

Most states use classification code 8835 for home care field staff and 8810 for clerical office employees. 8742 for outside sales.

PA and DE use 0942 for home health professionals (RN, LPN, PT) 0943 for non-professional staff (aides, homemakers) and 0972 for attendant care consumer-as-employer model. 

California uses classification 8827.
